Solid Panels and Gates

The 8-foot solid panel is used to form blind raceways when using turntables, automatic headgates, and/or sorting gates. The solid portion of the panel is 30 inches high, so the sheep can't climb out of the system. The panels can be used with the FB24 foot troughs for foot bathing. They also make good pen dividers in your barn when they're not being used in the handling system. They're constructed out of 1 ¼-inch taubing, 16 gauge with 16 gauge sides.

If you are shorter than 6 feet in height, FD41-08 is the panel for you. FD41-08 is designed for short shepherds. It has the same construction as SP41-08, except the top two rails can be folded down to reduce the height of the panel to 30 inches. It's also great for working smaller animals..

SG1440 is used before a stop gate in the raceway. It is used on both sides of a TS900 sorter. The system becomes a 4-way sorter. SG1440 is available for the left or right hand side of the system. With a hinged swing-in door sorter, you must make your sorting decision before the sheep reaches the door, but with SG1440, you can wait until the sheep stops and then make your decision on sorting. Doors slide on two nylon rollers for easy opening. They have the same construction as the 8 foot solid panels.

A 3 ½ -foot solid panel is used with the automatic headgate HG2. It can be used opposite SG1475 in the system, when access is only needed from one side. It has the same construction as SP41-08.

Three CP41-08 panels are used to form the tub system, which is half of a 16-foot diameter circle. The construction of the CP41-08 is the same as SP41-08.

Where length of the system is too long, 2CP-58 panels can turn the raceway 90 degrees in 5 ½ feet. They also can be used to form a different style of crowding pen as shown in one of our sample handling systems. Panel construction same as SP41-08. Picture shown with two optional RS1200 supports.

Walk-thru doors provide a means by which you can get to the other side of the raceway without having to go all the way around the handling sytem. A left and right hand door is needed for complete access. SG1435 enables you to sort animals into two additional pens. When not used in the handling system, walk-thru doors can be used as doors in your barn. They are especially handy in creep areas.

The 3 ½-foot solid double doors are used with the automatic head gate HG2. Two doors are hinged into a U-frame and lifted to open. The solid double doors can give you access to sheep when they are restrained in the headgate for pregnancy testing and various other tasks. SG1475 can be used on only one side or both sides of the handling system, depending upon your needs and preference.
